If you're enrolled in a career and technical program at your vo-tech or CTC, you may be eligible to earn free college credits at BC3 through the SOAR (Students Occupationally and Academically Ready) program. It's a smart way to save money, get a head start, and prepare for in-demand careers.

How to Get Started

Follow these steps:

Start by sharing this opportunity with your parents or guardians and scheduling a meeting with your vo-tech or CTC counselor.

Be sure to include college-prep courses in your schedule to help you succeed at BC3.

Your school counselor will help you collect and complete the following:

  • Secondary competency task list coversheet
  • Completed secondary competency task list
  • Perkins program of study articulation agreement cover sheet
  • Copies of any earned industry certifications

Submit your BC3 Application for Admission and pay the one-time $25 application fee. Be sure to select a BC3 program that matches your high school program.

You must be a graduate of a participating Career & Technical Education program. See the list below for approved programs and matching BC3 degrees.

Up to 10 credits:
