Workshops or courses can be held at your location, a location of your choice, or online. Typical group size ranges from 10 to 25 participants. The Pennsylvania Department of Education has announced a Grades 5-6 testing add-on option for the Grades PK-4 certificate only. PreK-4 certificate holders may take two modules: Grades 4-8 English Language Arts and Social Studies (5154) and Mathematics and Science (5155) to add grades 5 and 6. PreK-4 candidates may take these modules during or after the PK-4 program and apply for them simultaneously, but the evaluation of the Grades Prek-4 requirements will be evaluated first and the Grades 5-6 add on certificate will only be granted once the PK-4 certificate is approved.
PDE has provided a composite score calculator for test takers to determine if they have met basic skills requirements on their Certification Testing Webpage.
