(Pepper Pike, Ohio) Nick DelGratta in his debut with the Butler County Community College men’s basketball team led the Pioneers with 34 points, 12 rebounds and 10 steals and to a 116-103 victory over Bryant & Stratton College on Monday night at Ursuline College’s Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center. 

The 116 points scored and season-opening win were firsts under fourth-year head coach Joe Lewandowski, whose team had the most single-game steals in at least 40 years with 28.

Daveon Hall had 23 points, eight rebounds and eight steals and led the Pioneers with six assists and three blocked shots. Ashton Neely and Sway Rodriguez each scored 13 points for the Pioneers.

DelGratta is a 6-foot-7 forward from Struthers, Ohio; Hall, a 6-3 guard from Pontiac, Mich.; Neely, a 6-0 guard from Altoona; and Rodriguez, a 6-0 guard from Campbell, Ohio.

BC3’s roster includes Kadjali Biola, a 6-3 forward from New Caledonia in the South Pacific; Phillip Muhammad, a 5-7 point guard from Detroit; Ivan Zhivkov, a 6-1 guard from Ruse, Bulgaria; Jack Bosa, a 6-7 forward-center from Kampala, Uganda; Noah Will, a 5-11 guard from Foxburg; Elijah Saeler, a 6-2 guard from Tampa, Fla.; Da’Shaun Will, a 5-10 guard from Youngstown; Marco Miller, a 6-1 guard from Hermitage; Evan Bates, a 6-3 guard from Youngstown; Jared Colon, a 5-5 guard from Campbell, Ohio; Michael Lidge, a 6-1 guard from Bradenton, Fla.; Cam Lawrence, a 5-11 guard from Youngstown; and Teyon Harris, a 6-3 center-forward from Campbell, Ohio.
