Fast Track to Certification

Students will attempt one American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1 certification on 1" plate on choice of one process option below:

  • Option 1 - GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding/MIG)* or
  • Option 2 - GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding/TIG)* or
  • Option 3 - SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding/Stick) or
  • Option 4 - FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding)

*MIG and TIG options with instructor recommendation

Date: Monday, Wednesday, Friday | Aug. 28 - Oct. 23
*No Monday Class on Sept. 7 & Oct. 12 | Held on Tuesday Sept. 8 & Oct. 13

Time: 4-8 PM

Location: Butler County Area Vo-Tech School (BCAVTS)

Costs and Requirements

Cost: $4,850 (plus $2 registration fee)
Includes 96 hours class/lab time, class materials, and 1 attempt at chosen certification.

Requirements:
Students must comply with BC3 Student Code of Conduct and BCAVTS policies and procedures.
