Our 184-hour EMT classes are offered in a hybrid format to provide the foundational knowledge to access the EMS system and entry-level work with a licensed BLS or ALS EMS Service. Your weekly classwork and lab sessions are designed to get you ready for the EMS certification exams in the following areas.
- Personal safety and wellbeing
- Scene management
- Basic life support (CPR)
- Patient assessment and vital signs
- Medical emergencies
- Environmental emergencies
- Trauma and bleeding control
- Shock management
- Medication administration

Students must be registered for both the online portion and either the AM or PM Lab for full enrollment.

Successful completion of the class will prepare the student for testing to achieve EMS Certification with Pennsylvania and a certificate from the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT).
