Parking at BC3
No permit needed to park at BC3.
You don’t need a parking permit to park in general lots at any BC3 location including Main Campus, BC3 @ Armstrong, BC3 @ Brockway, BC3 @ Cranberry, or BC3 @ Lawrence. Park in any open, clearly marked space, except designated reserved spaces.
Reserved Spaces
- Faculty spaces: Reserved for vehicles displaying a valid faculty placard.
- Handicap spaces: Reserved for vehicles displaying a valid handicap placard.
- Visitor spaces: Reserved for visitor parking, up to one hour.
- Lifesteps Preschool spaces: Reserved for Lifesteps staff and child drop-off. Main campus only.
Faculty Placards
Full-time and regular part-time faculty receive a placard by email from Campus Police, along with instructions for printing and placing it in their vehicle. Faculty who don’t receive a placard, or who have placard questions, should contact Campus Police.
Where Not to Park
To avoid a ticket, don’t park:
- In spots that aren’t clearly marked.
- In crosswalks, on sidewalks, or on grass.
- In fire lanes or within 15 feet of fire hydrants.
- In reserved, handicapped, or visitor spaces (unless authorized).
- Across multiple spaces or in a way that blocks traffic.
Transportation to BC3
Don’t drive? No problem.
If you are in the Butler area, the Butler Transit Authority provides public bus service through Butler Township and Butler City—and goes directly to BC3 Main Campus via Local Route 4.

Think it’s a mistake?
You can appeal within 5 business days of the ticket date. Use the online appeal form. Your case will be reviewed by the Parking Authority Review Board.
Appeal Process
You’ll receive a decision by mail:
- Voided: No payment needed.
- Denied: You’ll have 10 business days to pay.
If you don’t pay:
- Students: Your account will be put on hold.
- Others: You may be referred to the District Justice Office (50-1-01) and will be responsible for additional legal fees.
