Our three-part New Student Orientation experience helps you feel confident, connected, and ready to start strong at BC3.
Part 1: Advising & Registration
Your journey starts in the myAdmissions Portal.
- Submit payment for your classes
- Sign up for the EZ Pay plan
- Finalize your financial aid
Part 2: myBC3 Technology
This free, self-paced course becomes available in Blackboard after you register.
- Get to know BC3’s digital tools
- Learn how to access your email, course materials, and student support
- Discover tech resources to help you succeed
Part 3: Pioneer Welcome
Start your semester with confidence. Complete your New Student Orientation experience with Pioneer Welcome.
You will attend Welcome Day based on where you plan to take the majority of your classes (in-person vs. 100% online.) You will also receive a short Welcome email series introducing you to BC3. The emails will share essential information, event updates and next steps to be completed by the end of your first week.
All students are required to attend Welcome Day and complete the surveys included in the email series.

Join us on campus for a welcoming, in-person orientation experience at your BC3 location.
At Welcome Day you will:
- Meet BC3 support staff
- Explore your BC3 location
- Get your questions answered
- Enjoy food, prizes, and giveaways
- Receive your free BC3 T-shirt

Students enrolled in a 100% online virtual program can attend Virtual Welcome Day.

At Virtual Welcome Day you will:
- Learn what it's like to be a fully online BC3 student
- Explore virtual programs and course expectations
- Meet your online guide, Lauren Buchanan
- Get connected to BC3 technologies and help desk support
- Receive your free BC3 T-shirt
Students in 100% online programs may also choose to attend In Person Welcome Day in place of the virtual option.
Email Welcome Series
Starting Monday, January 12, new students will receive a series of emails that will:
- Share academic expectations and tips for success
- Explain how to access advising, tutoring, financial services, and other support
- Help you connect with Pioneer Life and student activities
- Guide you through BC3 technologies and online tools
- Include a brief Safe & Welcome confirmation survey (due January 26)
Keep an eye on your BC3 email starting January 12 - these messages will help you prepare for Welcome Day and follow up after the event. The Safe & Welcome confirmation survey must be completed by January 26.
