At BC3, most students qualify for some type of financial assistance. From grants and scholarships to loans and work-study, you have options to make college affordable. Explore the different types of aid below and see what’s right for you.
Grants
Grants are “gift aid” — money you don’t need to repay.
- Federal Pell Grant: For students with financial need.
- PA State Grant: Available for Pennsylvania residents.
- SEOG and Special State Grants: For students with exceptional need.
Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded based on merit, need, or special criteria.
- One online application = eligibility for 160+ BC3 scholarships.
- Open to students in all majors and attending any BC3 location.
- Awards range in amount and can make a huge impact on your cost.
Loans
Loans are borrowed funds that must be repaid, usually with interest.
- Federal Direct Loans: Subsidized or unsubsidized.
- Parent PLUS Loans: For parents of dependent students.
- Alternative Loans: Private loans from banks or credit unions.
