Course Technologies


"Course technology" refers to any software-based instructional materials that may be used to support your courses. This web page provides student downloads and instructions for BC3 adopted resources for educational material.

Respondus LockDown Browser uses a standard Windows or Macintosh installer that can be downloaded by faculty or students.

  • This version only works on a Windows Operating System.
  • Users do not need to have Google's Chrome Browser installed on their computer to use this version.

    The Blackboard Mobile™ Learn application gives students and faculty access to their courses, content, and organizations on a variety of mobile devices including Android™, BlackBerry® and iPhone OS.

    The Personal License option allows students and instructors to decide themselves whether or not to purchase access to the app.

McGraw-Hill Connect

  • If your instructor is using Connect in the class, he or she should ask you to log in and go to that Blackboard course.
  • If Connect assignments are already deployed in your Blackboard course, you may click on any of the Connect assignments in the Blackboard course.
  • Otherwise, you should go to "Tools", click on "McGraw-Hill Higher Education", and click on "Go to My Connect Section".
  • Follow the steps to log in or register.
  • You will be able to take Connect assignments directly from within the Blackboard course once the process is completed.

Pearson My****Lab

  • If your instructor is using a My (anything) Lab in the class, you should have received an access code bundled with your textbook (If you bought it at the BC3 Bookstore).
  • My****Labs provides instructors with a rich and flexible set of course materials and tools, and it offers students a personalized interactive learning environment, where they can learn at their own pace and measure their progress.

SNAP for MS Office 2013

  • If your instructor is using SNAP in your Intro to Microcomputing or Micrcomputer Applications class, he or she should ask you to log in and go to that Blackboard course.
  • There should be a button on the course Menu to Access SNAP.

NBC Learn

BC3 has a license for NBC Learn so it is available to instructors and students through Blackboard. You will find NBC Learn in Course Tools and on you My Blackboard home page Tool Box.

Join MSNBC anchor Christina Brown for a video tour of the features and content of NBC News Archives on Demand. At any point in the tour you can fast forward or rewind to the section you want to watch. Click the transcript drawer for a listing of sections and their start times.

GoTo Meeting

An extremely simple, extraordinarily powerful way to hold unlimited online meetings, synchronous lectures, advising and tutoring sessions, group collaboration, etc. with up to 25 participants.  Available anywhere you have access to the Internet from a Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone or Android device.Your instructor must set up a meeting before you can attend.
