The Butler County Community College is offering the 100-hour training course for first time administrators and individual modules also serving as continuing education for experienced administrators. Topics will include all those required by the PA Department of Public Welfare.
The State Department of Public Welfare will offer a free and required orientation program for anyone interested in becoming a Personal Care Home Administrator. For information please call 724.287.8711 Ext 8421.
New regulations require first-time administrators to attend a 100-hour standardized Department-approved administrator training course, and current administrators to attend 24 hours of yearly job related training. The State has also defined qualifications that must be met prior to being certified as a PCH Administrator.

Classes are offered at the main campus of Butler County Community College. The college is a PA Department of Public Welfare approved training institution. The cost for the entire program is $1,050.00. Individual courses are priced at $37.50 for a half day course and $75.00 for a full day course.
