Greetings, and welcome to Butler County Community College!
I am sure you will find this website to be useful for the information you are seeking. What I am certain you will discover is that BC3 is dedicated to our mission of “affordable, accessible and quality education” for students.
Chartered in 1965 as the first Western Pennsylvania Community College, BC3 has grown into a regional institution of higher education. Proud to serve our sponsor of Butler County (which includes a Main Campus in Butler Township and BC3 @ Cranberry in Cranberry Township), we have additional sites at BC3 @ Lawrence Crossing (Union Township, Lawrence Crossing) and BC3 @ LindenPointe (Hermitage, Mercer County).
More recently, the College has piloted a BC3 @ Upper Allegheny initiative. These offerings utilize existing education locations to provide higher education opportunities to residents in Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Potter, Venango and Warren Counties.
In order to move the College forward through 2015 (and even well beyond), four strategic initiatives have been adopted by the BC3 Board of Trustees. These initiatives include: Regionalization, Academic Development, Beautification and Student Centeredness.
What anchors BC3 is our dedicated full- and part-time faculty. Experts in their respective fields, these individuals blend real-life experiences with appropriate academic credentials in a warm traditional or on-line classroom environment. Our student to professor ratio is roughly 18-1.
While academics is undoubtedly our biggest strength, BC3 also offers students various extra-curricular opportunities. These include student organizations, athletic teams or attending a host of cultural events. Furthermore, you will quickly discover our staff is dedicated to making this institution excel.
Please enjoy this website as you explore BC3. I sincerely hope to see you in the future!
Sincerely,
Dr. Nicholas C. Neupauer
