Butler County Community College's Board of Trustees today held their regular monthly meeting, and once again, enrollment is up.
As a whole, enrollment is up 29 percent. It's up 11 percent in Butler County, 24 percent in Lawrence County, and 32 percent in Mercer County. Elsewhere, it's up more than 28 percent. Not only that, but BC3 has also seen an increase in summer enrollment figures...up 15 percent. While the Mercer County campus is slated for expansion next month, another expansion could be in store for Lawrence County, if enrollment there continues on its rising course.
In other business, the board voted to adopt a Conflict of Interest policy for National Science Foundation funded projects, which requires those responsible for key aspects of programs funded by the NSF to complete a Financial Disclosure Form.
Finally, BC3 communications and marketing director Susan Chagnon announced that college president Dr. Nick Neupauer was honored with the Statewide Communicators Award. He'll receive the award in Hershey in March.
