Important Tips to Remember When Logging Onto the Student Portal
- Make sure you are using either Internet Explorer or Safari
- Make sure your Pop-up blocker is allowing pop-ups or is turned off
- Note: You can hold the CTRL key on your keyboard down while clicking on the Login link to temporarily disable all pop-up blockers
- You can use your Social Security Number instead of your Student ID
- If your password is not working try:
- Your full date of birth (MMDDYYYY)
- Your Student ID
- Your birth month and 2 digit birth year (MMYY)
- Click on the FORGOT PASSWORD link and enter your mybc3 email address to have your password sent to you
Student Portal FAQs
Q: When I click on the Login from the MyBC3 page nothing happens.
A: Please try the following suggestions:
- Make sure you are using either Internet Explorer or Safari. The student portal will not work with Netscape or Firefox.
- Make sure you pop-up blockers are turned off. If you are unsure how to turn them off, hold your CTRL key on your keyboard while you click on the link.
Q: I do not know my login information.
A: You can use either your 7 digit college assigned student id or your Social Security Number (without the dashes) as the Student ID. Your password should be defaulted to your full date of birth (MMDDYYYY) format.
Q: I tried using my full date of birth as the password but I am getting "Invalid Pin".
A: It is possible that we have a different password in the system or that you changed your password. Please try the following:
- Your Student ID
- Your birth month and 2 digit birth year (MMYY)
- Click on the "Forgot Password?" link and enter your Student id or Social Security Number and your bc3 email
- Send an email to Student.Portal@bc3.edu or call the helpline at 724-287-8711 Ext: 8441 option 4.
Q: I tried to print my Schedule/Academic Transcript/Grades and am getting a "Cannot load Print control client" error message.
A: This means that the Active X control needed to print did not get loaded properly onto your computer. To print out your document use either of the following options:
- Click on the "Select a Format" drop down and select "Acrobat (PDF) File". Then click the blue EXPORT link. Select "OPEN" when it asks if you want to "OPEN" or "SAVE" the file. You can then print from Adobe.
- Press the CTRL + P keys on your keyboard.
