BC3's College Within The High School (CWHS) program is specifically designed for college bound students who have demonstrated a strong academic performance by the end of their sophomore year. This program allows students with a 3.0+ G.P.A. and the permission of their guidance counselor or principal to earn transferable college credits during their junior and senior years right in their own high school.
For more information about College Within the High School, contact Jane Dollhopf - Coordinator of High School Programming, at 724.287.8711, Ext. 8254, toll-free at 1.888.826.2829, or email jane.dollhopf@bc3.edu.
CWHS courses use the same syllabi and instructional materials and follow the same semester schedule as do the same courses taught at one of BC3's campuses or online.
Classes are scheduled in area high schools before, during, or after the school day, in the evening, or on a Saturday. Fall semester classes run for 15 weeks from September through mid-December, and spring semester classes run for 15 weeks from mid-January through mid-May. Summer College Within the High School classes are also offered at a number of area high schools.
Students should check with their high school or career and technology center to see if it is participating in the CWHS program.
To register for a CWHS class, new students must submit to their high school/career and technology center:
NOTE: Returning students only need to complete a registration form (available at your high school or career and technology center). You will be notified if tuition is due immediately or if you will be billed for it.
