Financial Aid - Where's My Refund
- Financial aid in excess of tuition and fees is disbursed to your Higher One card beginning February 19.
- No refunds are released to students until all tuition, fees and book aid is paid.
- Students are awarded financial aid on a rolling basis, so disbursements depend on when you filed the FAFSA form and the date that your file was considered complete.
- You must allow 2-3 weeks for processing for all financial aid programs.
- Book Aid available for those that qualify.
Disbursement schedule
- Federal Pell Grants
- Finalized awards will be disbursed beginning February 19.. Allow 4-5 business days for refunds.
- Awards are disbursed weekly on a rolling basis thereafter.
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
- Finalized awards will be disbursebeginning February 19. Allow 4-5 business days for refunds.
- Awards are disbursed weekly on a rolling basis thereafter.
- PHEAA State Grants
- Finalized awards will be disbursed February 19. Allow 4-5 business days for refunds.
- Awards are disbursed weekly on a rolling basis thereafter.
- Direct Loans
- Finalized awards will be disbursed February 19. Allow 4-5 business days for refunds.
- Awards are disbursed weekly on a rolling basis thereafter.
- The federal government requires we delay the first disbursement of your student loan until 30 days after the semester begins.
Note to first time student loan borrowers:
- Third-Pary Programs (ie. Veterans Benefits, TRA, OVR, Job Corps, Outside Scholarships)
- Finalized awards are disbursed when funds are issued from the agency.
Activating Your HigherOne Card?
All financial aid refunds are processed through Higher One.
All financial aid students receive a card in the mail.
DO NOT THROW THE CARD AWAY
- Log on to Higher One and activate your refund preference
- Choose Higher One Easy Refund or ACH into your private account
Note: You need your debit card number to log
into your account, even if you choose ACH for a refund preference.
