So you want to be a Tutor?

Tutoring Options

You can choose to receive tutoring in a format that best meets your learning needs.

• Face-to-face by appointment on main campus and at off campus sites during the day and on a limited basis during the evening
• Online through Blackboard for a specific menu of selected online classes only
• Scheduled walk-in tutoring labs for A & P, if staff is available

 

The availability of tutoring is not guaranteed for ALL courses. Also not guaranteed is one-on-one tutoring. You may be placed in a group.

Application Process

Signing up for tutoring is easy. Signing up early in the semester is smart!

Face-to-Face Tutoring

1. Complete a one page application that can be requested from the ACE staff on main campus or from staff at each off campus site.
2. Include your 7 digit student ID number on the application.
3. Make sure your student my.bc3.edu email account is active so that you and your assigned tutor can coordinate and confirm the details of the 1st tutoring appointment with one another via my.bc3.edu email.  

 

(The tutoring application to request face-to-face tutoring is not available online at this time.)

 

Eligible for one hour of free tutoring per subject per week, you will meet weekly throughout the semester with your assigned tutor until you decide you no longer need your tutor’s help. 

 

Online Tutoring

Online tutoring is offered through Blackboard only to students enrolled in selected online courses.
