Butler County Community College offers its registered students free tutoring for many credit classes through the Academic Center for Enrichment located in the Student Success Center on main campus and at all off campus sites. The student must apply for tutoring in order to receive services. If you are interested in helping others to succeed at BC3 by being a tutor, let us know.
Tutoring services are delivered by a team of knowledgeable, student-centered tutors with outstanding credentials. Numbered among the staff are current, successful BC3 students, including Phi Theta Kappa members, who have met high academic standards to be tutors; BC3 part-time faculty, staff, and alumni; as well as accomplished professionals from the community.
You can choose to receive tutoring in a format that best meets your learning needs.
The availability of tutoring is not guaranteed for ALL courses. Also not guaranteed is one-on-one tutoring. You may be placed in a group.
Signing up for tutoring is easy. Signing up early in the semester is smart!
Face-to-Face Tutoring
(The tutoring application to request face-to-face tutoring is not available online at this time.)
Eligible for one hour of free tutoring per subject per week, you will meet weekly throughout the semester with your assigned tutor until you decide you no longer need your tutor’s help.
Online Tutoring
Online tutoring is offered through Blackboard only to students enrolled in selected online courses.
Please contact the Coordinators of Tutoring at tutoring@bc3.edu for the current list of selected online courses and for information about how to apply for online tutoring.
