New Choices/ New Options
Butler County Community College is offering FREE career development workshops through the New Choices/New Options program, located in the Student Services building on the main campus.

This free series of workshops includes
- Employment Assessments
- Career Exploration
- Goal Setting Lecture
- Communication Skill Development
- Resume Development
- Community Resources
- Computer Instruction
- Job Search and Networking Skills
Eligible individuals include
- Single parents
- Single pregnant women
- Displaced homemakers -
- Worked in the home, providing unpaid household services for family members;
- Dependent on the income of another family member but no longer supported by that income;
- Underemployed or having difficulty securing employment.
- Those interested in exploring careers nontraditional to their gender
For those eligible, benefits may include assistance for burdens like tuition, books, childcare, transportation, supplies, etc. if not covered by other sources. Priority is given to those with the greatest financial need.
Job search assistance is available to all program participants through the Job Placement Coordinator. Participants may continue to receive career services from this program after completion of the workshop.
