Cheerleading has been part of Butler County Community College Athletics for many years. Tryouts are conducted in the fall for all men and women who would like to be a part of the cheerleading squad. Cheerleading at Butler County Community College is a great way to show your school spirit. A typical squad consists of between eight to twelve persons.
A majority of past cheerleaders have had cheerleading and/or dance experience prior to cheering for Butler County Community College. However, experience is not required to become a cheerleader. The Pioneer Cheerleaders can be seen cheering along the sidelines at home basketball games and during the half time show.
All girls wishing to be cheerleaders must be enrolled as part-time or full-time students for the fall semester. All cheerleaders must also maintain a 2.0 GPA and grades will be determined at the end of each semester. All cheerleaders must attend BC3 both in the fall and spring semester of each year since basketball season is part of both semesters.
